Higher education is in turmoil as new educational business models emerge – along with new demands for training to address sustainability challenges from equity to the environment. Despite his role as an established leader, my client had never worked with a coach before. But now, he wanted someone to help him navigate this complexity and develop a succession plan.
As an openly gay leader, he quickly found huge value in our time together, as it gave him a safe space to explore new ideas and discover hidden opportunities with a creative thought partner. He found new ways to work with his Board, tested strategies for better accountability among his team, created a new approach to government relations and began developing potential successors. He also got much-needed clarity on his own next steps and what was required to take them.
